This place did help me get into my house which I am very grateful for because it helped my son and I get off of the streets after almost 5 months... However, we were promised that we would receive help with rent and utilities. That was in December! Here it is March 17th 2020 and we have not received ANY of that help that was promised... First, I was told that it was because of the realtor making a mistake and only charging me the prorated rent in January which, I paid in full. They said I had to pay a full month's rent before they would help with anything which they never told me in the beginning! Then, comes February where I made a full months rent payment on my own. Along with being severely ill and having grand mal seizures and being found in a parking lot about dead! Because of this, I had to miss a couple of appointments, so, now they used that as an excuse of why they wouldn't help me further. And would NOT assist me that month. Then, comes March where unfortunately I was severely behind on several bills because NOBODY was helping me with anything as promised. My bank was severely overdrawn and I receive disability because I am 100% disabled so because my bank was so overdrawn I stopped my disability check from going into my account and got a paper check. This time, I was told that because I didn't have all the receipts of where MY money went and I couldn't prove every penny of where it went, they again, we're NOT going to help me with anything! This entire time I was promised help with rent and all utilities and NEVER ONCE received a penny of help even though I DID what they wanted me to do for them... I absolutely do NOT recommend this company for assistance if you are in NEED of assistance because they WILL screw you in the long run. Now, I had my landlord not giving me a notice or anyting but just telling me that he wants his house back NOW without any drama! Good luck

Eckerd is a place that helps people in difficult situations. They can help with evictions and utilities. People in transition ( homeless). They helped my child get a new (refurbished) laptop computer, clothing, and shoes. Anything my child needs at school such as supplies, field trips, they are covering for the remainder of the year. And they even helped with childcare. Great people work here. If you need help check Eckerd. Located on Sarno Rd., in the Sarno Plaza, at the west end. If I could I'd give Eckerd a 10 star rating.
